Anthropic brings Claude Cowork to web and mobile, extends Fable 5 access through July 12

Anthropic is extending Claude Cowork — its hand-off-a-task background agent — from desktop to iPhone, iPad, Android, and claude.ai, as a beta rolling out over several weeks starting on the Max plan. Scheduled tasks now run with no device online, and approval prompts reach the phone when a call needs human judgment, so agentic work moves off the desk into the pocket. Anthropic also kept Fable 5 on all paid plans through July 12 instead of shifting it to token-based pricing tomorrow, and doubled Cowork usage limits through August 5.
