The White House first ordered Anthropic to cut SK Telecom's Mythos 5 access over SK Group's China semiconductor holdings — no export controls were threatened at that stage — then Amazon CEO Andy Jassy separately flagged a Fable 5 guardrail bypass to administration officials after researchers prompted the model into acting as a vulnerability-discovery tool, prompting Commerce's June 12 order barring all foreign nationals from both models.
