Cloudflare's Adaptive Intelligence retrains bot detection continuously on live traffic
Cloudflare launched Adaptive Intelligence, a bot-detection engine that assumes determined attackers get through and aims to make the attempt too slow and costly to run. One of its three components ships today — the machine learning behind bot score now retrains continuously on live traffic instead of in scheduled releases; disposable rule generation and customer-correction training are announced, not shipped. Sites on Cloudflare inherit the retrained model through the existing bot score, so a bypass technique that appears this week can be caught the same week.
