
Cursor announces a self-trained frontier model, an AI-native Git layer, and an iOS remote-control beta
Cursor's first fully self-trained model — no open-source base, built at SpaceX's Colossus 2 with 10–20x prior compute — is weeks from shipping at frontier scale alongside Origin, a Git layer designed to handle merge conflicts, CI failures, and concurrent writes from thousands of AI agents. Origin opens broadly in fall; the iOS beta for remote agent management is live now, giving developers the first native mobile surface for running and unblocking AI coding workflows outside the IDE.
