Cursor launches a ₹649/month India-only plan, a third the price of Pro
Cursor Start runs ₹649 a month (about $7) against Pro's $20, built on Cursor's own Composer 2.5 and Grok 4.5 rather than frontier OpenAI or Anthropic models. Indian developers get cloud agents, MCP support, hooks, and skills with higher limits than the free tier, but no Bugbot, Auto Mode, or Cursor SDK. The cheaper in-house models make the price commercially sustainable rather than a loss leader, in a market that has tripled past 3 million users to become Cursor's third-largest.
