Cyera to Buy Oasis Security for $1B as AI Agents Multiply Machine Identities

Cyera signed a letter of intent to acquire Oasis Security for about $1 billion, mostly cash, folding non-human identity management — the service accounts, tokens, and keys AI agents consume — into its data-security platform. Agent deployments now spawn privileged credentials faster than existing IAM tooling tracks them, and identity is consolidating into data security rather than staying a separate category. Cyera has passed $150 million in ARR on $2.3 billion raised at a $12 billion valuation, and this is its third acquisition of the year after Ryft and Genie Security.

Why this matters

  • → AI agents' credentials now outnumber human logins — traditional IAM can't keep pace
  • → Identity management consolidating under data-security platforms, not standalone tools
  • → Cyera's $1B bet signals $12B+ market opportunity in securing non-human attack surface
