Google renames NotebookLM to Gemini Notebook and adds native code execution

Google is folding NotebookLM into its Gemini brand as Gemini Notebook, but the substantive change is a secure cloud computer that lets each notebook write and run code natively for data analysis grounded in a user's own sources. That moves the product from a retrieval-and-summary tool toward a source-grounded analysis engine, live now for AI Ultra and Workspace AI Expanded Access customers and reaching all web Pro users in the coming weeks.
