Linux 7.3-rc1 lands with 15,267 changesets, a third of it AMD GPU code

Linus Torvalds tagged Linux 7.3-rc1 with 15,267 non-merge changesets — the second-largest -rc1 ever, behind 6.7-rc1 — taking the tree to about 40.98 million lines. Roughly a third of that patch is AMD GPU code and the DCN6 register header dump, with drivers/gpu/drm/amd near 6.5 million lines, so the record tracks generated vendor headers more than new kernel behavior.
