Meta launches paid plans across Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp globally, tests $7.99–$19.99 AI tiers
Meta has launched Plus plans for Instagram ($3.99/mo), Facebook ($3.99/mo), and WhatsApp ($2.99/mo) globally, and is testing Meta One AI tiers — $7.99 and $19.99 per month, with the premium tier adding deeper reasoning and enhanced image and video generation — in Singapore, Guatemala, and Bolivia from June 2026. The launch adds a subscription revenue line alongside advertising at the moment AI infrastructure costs are scaling, reducing the platform's structural exposure to ad-market cycles.

Meta is still experimenting with these AI and professional plans for the time being, but aims to bring them all together under Meta One, where they will then continue to be updated and expanded over time.
