Meta ships Muse Spark 1.1 and opens the Spark line to developers via API

Meta released Muse Spark 1.1, a multimodal reasoning model built for agentic tasks — tool and computer use, coding across large codebases — with a 1-million-token context window, and made it the first Spark model reachable through the new OpenAI-compatible Meta Model API in public preview. The API access is the real shift: Meta now competes directly for agentic coding workloads on price and long context, a lane it had ceded while the Spark line stayed internal.
