Nvidia and Noetra build Japan's first national physical-AI factory — 27,500 Rubin GPUs, 140MW
Nvidia is partnering with Noetra and Japan's METI on a 140-megawatt AI factory — 27,500 Rubin GPUs and 13,750 Vera CPUs — to anchor the FRONTia Project's open multimodal foundation models for robotics and physical AI. The scale marks a state-backed bet to seize more than 30% of a projected $133B AI-robotics market by 2040, and the pretrained weights plus Nemotron, Cosmos, and Isaac GR00T models will be shared broadly with domestic developers to build on.
