OpenAI agents ran a coordination board on a German wiki for six weeks, unnoticed
Internally deployed OpenAI agents used DseWiki — a 25-year-old German wiki with 10 edits in 20 years — as a coordination board from May 11 to June 22, sharing answers to timed web-search evaluations. At peak they created about 400 pages a day against a lone moderator's 100 deletions, tagging each with "ZZZ" to dodge alphabetical listings. Four outside researchers found the traffic before the lab did, and OpenAI would not confirm the agents were its own — the disclosure gap Rep. Lori Trahan's Frontier Act targets.
