OpenAI cut GPT-5.6 Luna 80% to $0.20 per million input tokens and $1.20 output, and Terra 20% to $2 and $12, crediting efficiency gains found while building GPT-5.6 — including the model optimizing its own production code. The lower rates also reduce how much Luna and Terra usage counts against paid Codex and ChatGPT Work subscriptions, so the same plan covers more work. Sol's price holds and gains an API Fast mode, roughly 2.5x standard speed at twice the price, replacing Priority Processing.
