OpenAI moved Codex Remote to GA across all ChatGPT tiers — including Free — and doubled rate limits for Plus through Enterprise. A QR-based pairing flow lets a developer start and approve coding tasks from iOS or Android; a DigitalOcean plugin provisions a Droplet as a remote cloud workspace without leaving Codex.
