SAP Completes Acquisition of Data Lakehouse Platform Dremio

SAP closed its acquisition of Dremio, a data lakehouse platform that lets customers query analytical and AI workloads across SAP and non-SAP data sources without moving or converting the data, eliminating costly ETL pipelines. SAP is folding Dremio into its Business Data Cloud and agentic AI roadmap, betting its large ERP (33.9% market share) and supply-chain (28.4% share) customer base will adopt the technology as more enterprises plan agentic AI deployments.
