Samsung reverses its 2023 ChatGPT ban with OpenAI's largest single-enterprise rollout

Samsung is deploying ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex to all employees in South Korea and its global Device eXperience division — rolling back the company-wide ban it imposed in March 2023 after engineers accidentally uploaded proprietary source code through the public ChatGPT interface. OpenAI calls it the largest single-enterprise deal in its history, a marker that the data-containment architecture of Enterprise deployments has cleared the bar even for organizations burned by early public-API exposure.
