SpaceX closes its $60B all-stock acquisition of Cursor

SpaceX has closed its $60B all-stock purchase of Cursor, converting Cursor equity into rights to 389,289,254 Class A shares. The deal plants an AI coding tool inside the compute landlord that already leases GPUs to Anthropic and Google — SpaceX's second major acquisition this year after xAI, and a marker that owning frontier compute is becoming the route to owning the application layer.
