TSMC posts record Q2 profit and commits another $100B to Arizona
TSMC posted Q2 net income of NT$706.6 billion, up 77.4% year-over-year on NT$1.27 trillion in revenue, and CEO C.C. Wei pledged another $100 billion for Arizona, lifting total US commitments to $265 billion. The profit tracks a steep 2-nanometer ramp and over-40% growth guidance, widening TSMC's lead as the only foundry making leading-edge chips at scale — now with a US footprint deep enough to shift where that silicon gets built.
