AMD locks up 530MW of Core Scientific capacity in a $14B, 15-year lease

AMD signed 15-year leases for about 530 MW across five Core Scientific campuses in Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Georgia — more than $14B in base contracted revenue, doubling the host's AI capacity to roughly 1.1 GW. The signal is a chipmaker underwriting power and liquid-cooled floor space instead of selling accelerators, because the binding constraint in AI deployment has moved from silicon supply to energized capacity.
