Cloudflare has made self-managed OAuth generally available across all account tiers — previously gated to a small set of manually onboarded partners — letting developers issue tokens and authorize third-party apps without an external identity provider, backed by a zero-downtime migration to Hydra 2.X that cut API response times 45% and CPU usage 37%. Any developer building SaaS integrations, internal developer platforms, or agentic tools on Cloudflare can now implement standard delegated OAuth flows without standing up a separate identity service.
