Crypto exchange OKX wants AI agents to hire and pay each other
OKX, which counts more than 150 million users and received roughly $200 million from Intercontinental Exchange in March 2026 (at a $25 billion valuation), is launching 'OKX AI,' an agent marketplace built on its Onchain OS toolkit that lets AI agents hold wallets, make stablecoin payments, build persistent on-chain identities, and settle transactions autonomously, with disputes handled via partner GenLayer's infrastructure. It is compatible with Claude Code, Codex, Hermes, and OpenClaw, with early service providers including CertiK, CoinAnk, and GenLayer drawn from a 50-provider closed beta. OKX's CMO says agentic commerce could become a trillion-dollar market within five years; the company also views the developer marketplace as a path back into India, where it suspended services in 2024.
