Figma Config 2026: Code Layers pull live repositories into the design canvas

Figma's Code Layers — entering early access July 2026 — let teams clone repositories and extract code flows directly into the collaborative canvas for iteration, alongside native animation, 3D transforms, and AI-generated shader fills in the same release. The design-engineering handoff now happens inside Figma: no external motion tools, no separate export step — production-adjacent code sits in the canvas, editable by designers, engineers, and PMs in the same session.
