GitHub Copilot in Visual Studio adds full-file next edits and PR context in Chat
GitHub's June Copilot update for Visual Studio extends next-edit suggestions to predict follow-up edits anywhere in the active file, and lets a developer right-click a pull request to feed its description, changed files, and comments into Copilot Chat. Both are on-by-default context features across all plans down to Copilot Free — a developer can turn on extended-range suggestions and pull PR review into the IDE today, alongside a new MCP-server trust dialog and GA C++ modernization agent.

Why this matters
- → Copilot can now suggest edits across entire files, not just near cursor.
