Kioxia sets 3-for-1 stock split as record revenue jumps 415% but profit misses

Kioxia posted record quarterly revenue of ¥1,767.1 billion, up 415.5% year over year, with non-GAAP operating profit of ¥1,326.2 billion — more than all of FY2025 — as blended selling prices rose 70% quarter over quarter on data center and enterprise SSD demand, though profit still missed analyst estimates. The board approved a 3-for-1 split effective October 1 and a buyback of up to 30 million shares, about ¥800 billion, with Q2 guidance of ¥2,390.0 billion. The memory upcycle is now deep enough that a Japanese NAND maker is returning capital at scale instead of hoarding it against the next downturn.
