NVIDIA opens Alpamayo 2 Super, a 30B driving model, for commercial use
NVIDIA released Alpamayo 2 Super, a 30-billion-parameter vision-language-action model for robotaxis, under the Linux Foundation's permissive OpenMDW-1.1 license covering fine-tuning, derivative models, and commercial redistribution. Built on Cosmos 3 Super Reasoner and post-trained with reinforcement learning, it ranks first on the LingoQA driving-reasoning benchmark among nearly 40 models, beating Gemini 2.5 Pro by 15.1 points in NVIDIA's own testing. The license change turns the whole Alpamayo family — over 500,000 Hugging Face downloads — into a deployable base for automakers and suppliers who want to keep their fleet data in-house rather than route it through a frontier API.
