Ramp launches Router, a model routing API across 8 providers, free through 2026
Ramp turned the model router it ran internally for three years into a product: one US-only API across OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, Moonshot, Minimax, Nvidia, xAI, and Z.ai, free for the routing layer through 2026 beyond pass-through inference costs, with a $26 launch credit. A developer can route only hard queries to expensive models, rank by up to three benchmarks, and watch token spend, latency, and fallback attempts in a dashboard — with the caveat that inputs, outputs, and tool calls are retained for a year by default unless opted out. Pricing after 2026 is unstated, and the model list is far thinner than OpenRouter's, days after Stripe's reported $7B-plus OpenRouter deal.
