SoftBank launches SB Neo to build a 10-gigawatt US AI cloud business
SoftBank Corp. and SoftBank Group are forming SB Neo, a US neocloud venture 51%-owned by the telecom unit, to rent AI compute to hyperscalers and enterprises, with service starting in the fiscal year ending March 2028. The move plants SoftBank against CoreWeave and Nebius in the compute-rental market, though the headline 10-gigawatt scale is a 2030 build-out target, not capacity available today.
